Corvettes: Carlisle Blue
Don began making his contributions to Corvettes at Carlisle by creating exact models of the giveaway Corvettes. They have caught the eye of discriminating collectors such as Carlisle Events' co-founders Chip Miller and Bill Miller as well as countless others. Don has created the complete (5) 1963 Corvette Grand Sports for the Godfather of the Corvette, Zora Arkus-Duntov, for his birthday in 1995. When the benefit auction was introduced at Corvettes at Carlisle, Don consistently contributed his lilliputian Corvettes raising generous proceeds which have benefited many worthy causes over the years. "God's blessed me with this gift, what I do with this gift, is my gift back." states Don.
When Carlisle Events was bestowed the honor of having the one-year-only 2012 Corvette color named "Carlisle Blue" by Chevrolet, Don knew what he needed to do.

Scale Visions is taking the 30th Anniversary of Corvettes at Carlisle a few steps further by creating only 30 units of each body style in Corvette Blue. That's only 30 coupes, convertibles, Z06s, ZR1s and both the Grand Sport coupe and convertible. A mini replica of the event directory will be included in the interior and the rear plate will read "CHIP 30th."
Scale Visions will be contributing the proceeds to the Chip Miller Charitable Foundation. Don has also graciously donated a Carlisle Blue Corvette to the National Corvette Museum where it will join many of his other tribute pieces on display in the Red Spire Room.
If you've ever seen Scale Visions' work, it's easy to see the hundreds of man hours of craftmanship which merit the four-figure price tags. However, Scale Visions is offering these limited edition Carlisle Blue Corvettes at a fraction of their fair market value.
It's, without a doubt, the perfect gift for the person in your life that already has everything.
